Mary Garrett was born on April 12, 1777 in Laurens, South Carolina. Her parents were Edward Garrett II and Ann Owsley. She married her 1st husband Austin Moore on Dec 1, 1794 in Laurens, South Carolina. After Austin died Mary re-married her 2nd husband Lodowick (Lod) Dulin.

Mary Garrett b. 12 April 1777 Laurens County. South Carolina. Married lst Austin Moore. married 2nd Lodowick Dulin. The estate of Austin Moore in Laurens County was probated in 1801 with wife Mary Moore administrator. Box 49. Pkg, 3. Bond date is 19 October 1801 signed by Mary Moore administrator. John G. Garrett and Nicholas Garrett. Appraised by her brothers William Garrett, John Garret. and Nicholas Garrett. Estate records include a list of notes due to the estate sale including Mary mother Ann Garrett. Mary Moore again Signed as a widow when the heirs of Edward Garrett deceased deeded a tract of land for Warrior Creek Church In 1810. In 1823 on estate of Ann Garrett, Mary Moore Dulin was a legatee. and Lodowick Dulin signed for her share of her mothers estate.

In 1796, Austin Moore and her brother Robertson Moore purchased I8O acres of land from William and Sarah Turner on Warrior Creek. Land deeds for Lauren County, South Carolina, indicate Austin Moore was deceased by 1823.

Although to census indicates no male children in 1800 It is traditional that Austin and Mary had Several children including one son. Austin who married in Christian, County, Ky. It is also traditional that Austin Moore and his brother Robertson Moore both had children Austin and Robertson. In 1800 Austin's brother Robertson and Mary's sister Irene Keziah were living next door, and several other Moore families were nearby.

On 1850 census Laurens County. South Carolina, Is one Austin Moore family, and the same family in 1860 m Chattooga County, Georgia. By 1876 one Austin Moore is in Colorado County. Texas
