BILL BURCHFIELD, 64, of Memphis, pipefitter for Velsicol Chemical Corp. for 42 years, died Tuesday of cancer at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Chapter 153. Mr. Burchfield, the husband of Sarah M. Burchfield, also leaves a daughter, Kitty Martin of Ash Flat, Miss.; two sons, John W. Dabbs and David C. Burchfield, both of Memphis; six sisters, Melva Burchfield of Whitewright, Texas, Iva Marshall of Orangeville, Calif., Retha Oden of Crossett, Ark., Ruby Vaughn of Glenwood, Ark., Glenna Gargus of Memphis and Lavern Hughes of Donaldson, Ark.; four brothers, Sam Burchfield and Curtis Burchfield, both of North Little Rock, Dewey Burchfield of Memphis and Franklin Dee Burchfield of Proctor, Ark.; two granddaughters whom he reared, Catherine Carlisle and Susan Elliott; and four other grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
