Mrs. Nancy Horst Coppock of this city, widow of late Elias Coppock, died at her home early Sunday morning at about one o'clock. The deceased had suffered from a goiter which had begun to seriously affect her breathing and it was due to the influence of this inward goiter that her death occurred so unexpectedly early Sunday morning. Mrs. Coppock was born at Charleston, Ohio, August 13th, 1864. She was married to Elias Coppock March 4th, 1883, and to this union five children were born; two daughters with their father preceded her to the great beyond. Those left to mourn her death are two sons, Sam Coppock of Burdick, Woodruff Coppock of this city and one daughter, Mrs. J. Tollie Collins of Elizabethtown. Mrs. Coppock was a woman of splendid Christian spirit, having been active as a follower of the Master for upwards of half a century. She was faithful in every particular, always being among the first to minister to the poor or distressed of her community. She was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, was faithful in attendance on divine worship and gave most liberally of her means to the support of the Gospel. The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church in this city, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Z. T. Osborn, and the remains were interred in the Brookside Cemetery. To the bereaved children, relatives and friends, we extend our sincere sympathy.
