Ethel J. Thulien, age 60 of Iola, Wisconsin, died December 24, 2005 at her home. She was born on March 19, 1945 in Marinette, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Roy and Esther (Anderson) Baker.

Ethel married Allan Thulien on October 5, 1968 in McAllister, Wisconsin. She worked in book production at F&W Publications in Iola. She was a former leader of the Flume Creek Explorers 4-H Club; the Relay For Life; a Sunday School Teacher; member of the Church Council; Christian Women's Club and the Mary Morning Circle.

Ethel is survived by her husband; two daughters: Carrie (Shannon) Hamilton of Waxahachie, TX and Sara (Scott) McArtney of Appleton, WI;
one son, Eric (Karen) Thulien of Scandinavia;
seven sisters: Helen Ann (Howard) Linstad of Appleton, WI, Lois Judy of Peshtigo, WI, Luella (Richard) Dorn of Chesapeake, VA, Dorothy (James) Dean of Little Rock, Mississippi, Rita (Evan) Thews of Waupaca, WI, Linda (Jerry) Johnson of Hortonville, WI and Karen Baker of Kirksville, MO;
four brothers: Howard (Ethel) Baker of Porterfield, WI, Alvin (Twyla) Baker of Fond du Lac, WI, Duane (Gwen) Baker of Fredericktown, MD and Kenny (Linda) Baker of Niagara, WI;
one brother-in-law, Jim (Sue) Thulien of Scandinavia; one sister-in-law, Georgia (Don) Wollum of Rock Falls and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Wilbur Judy; her in-laws, Adolph and Minnie Thulien and one nephew, Michael Wollum.

Visitation at Voie Funeral Home; services at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Iola. Burial in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, Iola, Wisconsin.
