Horace David Wilford
Caldwell-- Services for Horace David Wilford, 84, of 1624 Arthur, who died Wednesday at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. David Smith, pastor of the Caldwell Methodist Church, will officiate, Interment will be at Canyon Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Wilford was born Jan. 8, 1885 near Republic, Kan. He married Ethel Garland on April 11, 1909, at Bassett, Neb., and the couple farmed in Nebraska and Kansas before coming to Idaho in 1919. They located in the Huston community where they farmed until retiring 23 years ago. They then moved to Caldwell. Mrs. Wilford died on Jan. 1, 1962, in Caldwell. He was active in the Deer Flat Grange and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth B. (Lizzie) Garrison, Caldwell and Mrs. Mabel Suzan Ullom, Calhan, Colo.; a foster son, Nathan Freeman, Oakland, Calif., and nine nieces and nine nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Memorials may be given to the Caldwell Methodist Church broadcasting program.
