OLD RESIDENT DEAD. Ferdinand Kraft Succumbs to Bright's Disease After a Long Illness. Ferdinand Kraft, an old and greatly esteemed citizen, died this morning of Bright's disease at his home, 1405 East Market street, after an illness that had extended over many months. Two weeks ago he was stricken with paralysis and sank gradually to death. He was a native of Germany, born there seventy-five years ago and he has lived in this city for more than sixty years. He is survived by two sons and five daughters. They are John F. Kraft and George Kraft, of this city; Mrs. Jacob Klebar and Mrs. Frank Klumb, of Louisville; Mrs. Gustave Ruter, Mrs. John Raaba and Mrs. Peter Fetter, this city. He was an honest and kind hearted citizen and was greatly respected. - New Albany Daily Ledger 12 May 1908
