Scharlotte Schwartz was bon in Rutzland, South Russia. Many hardships were faced by the family in Russia, robbers came into the home and killer Scharlotte's mother and brother, they did not find Scharlotte and her sister as her mother had hidden them in the flour and potato barrels.
Sharlotte immigrated to the United States at the age of eighteen, she had married Henry Buchmiller and was a young bride her sister accompanied the pair, she became ill and was buried at sea. Upon reaching the United States they settle near Hillsboro, Kansas, one son was born to the marriage Henry Buchmiller, Jr. Henry senior was killed in 1885.
She married Charles B. (Carl)Seibel in Marion county Kansas January 17, 1889. Ten children: Katie (1890-1891), Kathryn Marie Delk (1892-1980), Charles C. (1894-1980), Fred (1896-1981), Hulda Janzen (1898-1979), Bertha Cornelson (1905-2000), Emanuel C. (1903-1976), Elma Koslowsky (1905-2000), Ruby Arbsland (1909-1996) and Clifford (1914-1942).
The couple homsteaded in Oklahoma living in a one room sod house.
In in the fall of 1923 Scharlotte became ill and died of cancer May 28, 1924.
