Joseph Harris Kee, son of Joe Cephus Kee and Florence Asilee Harris. He married Mae Etta Gilliland (1897-1962) on 19 Dec 1915. They had two children, a son Joseph C. Kee (1921-1984) and a daughter Elizabeth Marie Kee. (1922-2010). After Mae Kee's death, JH Kee married Thelma Willett Helfley (1905-1995) on 8 May 1966.

"Joseph Harris Kee, 97, retired service station operator and worker for Rector Oil Co., died Thursday at Crockett County Nursing Home. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Archer's Chapel Methodist Church, where he was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Halls Funeral Home has charge. He had a bridge named for him over the South Fork River on Tenn. 88. Mr. Kee, the husband of Thelma H. Helfley Harris Kee, also, leaves a daughter, Marie Roberts of Memphis; two stepdaughters, Doris Cook of Jackson and Rita Sanders of Pharr, Texas; a sister, Maud Moore of Halls, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren."
