Randy "Odie" Nicholson, 54, of Route 3, Salem departed this life on Monday, July 25, 2011 as a result of a car accident in Mercer County. He was born November 25, 1956 in Clarksburg a son of the late Otis Titus and Marjory Marie Kessling Nicholson. On November 8, 1982 he married Gwen Ann Ford Nicholson who survives.
Also surviving is one daughter Kara Ann Nicholson and her fiancé Brandon Joseph Wright, Route 3, Salem, one son, Joshua Nicholson, Mt. Clare, one sister, Janice Ziegler, Weirton, grandchildren, Kamryn Lynn Nicholson and a soon to born grandson, mother and father-in law, Ora and Mary Jane Ford, Davis, WV, sister-in-law, Gayl Campbell, brothers-in-law, Gary and Greg Ford and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son, Jeremiah Morgan Nicholson, two brothers, Tommy Wayne and "Joe" Nicholson, and one sister, Deborah Nicholson.
"Odie" was a pilot truck driver for Beam Express and loved car restoration and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 1PM in the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem with Pastor John Kopshina officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Mission Cemetery, New Milton. Family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 2-4PM & 6-8PM and after 9AM on Thursday until time of service.
