OBITUARY
Mary Graham was born Nov. 13, 1852, at St. Joseph, Mo. She was married Dec. 25, 1866, to John Anderson, a soldier who served thru the Civil war. She died Oct. 18, 1918, at the age of 65 years and 11 months. To this union were born 18 children, one son dying in infancy. Twelve children survive as follows: Mrs. Dora Keirns of Cummings, Kas.; Mrs. Dollie Thomas of Pierceville, Kas.; Marion Anderson of Leavenworth, Kas.; Frank Anderson of Bancroft, Kas.; Mrs. Nettie Rucker of Buckner, Mo.; Mrs. Hattie Tan er of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Bertha Riley of Pleasanton, Neb.; Mrs. Minnie Sanders of Cummings, Kas.; Mrs. Effie Woodard of Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Bessie Smith of Holton, Kas.; William Anderson of Cummings, Kas.; and Mrs. Emma Skaw of Horton, Kas. Also 40 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Christian church, always attending when her health would permit. A private funeral was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Alf. Karns by the Christian minister from Atchison. Six of her grandsons acted as pall bearers and burial was made by the side of her husband in the Pardee cemetery.
