ELLISVILLE - Graveside services are scheduled for 4 p.m. today at Union Line Cemetery in Soso for George Wallace Abercrombie, 74, of Soso, who died Aug. 24, 1994, at Forrest General Hospital.

The Rev. John Hilbun will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Buck Abercrombie, Rayburn Abercrombie, L. D. Abercrombie, Gerald Abercrombie, Charles Ray Abercrombie and Roy Douglas Phillips.

A native of Covington County, Mr. Abercrombie had lived in Jones County for the past 50 years. He was a member of the Old Antioch Baptist Church in Gitano.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Lynn Abercrombie; and his parents, L. D. and Lou Abercrombie.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jenkins Abercrombie of Soso; two sons, George Terry Abercrombie of Big Creek and David Glenn Abercrombie of Gitano; two daughters, Sandra Parker of Hebron and Linda Gail Sims of Bay Springs; three brothers, Bill Abercrombie of Lafayette, La., Paul Abercrombie of Hebron and David Abercrombie of Mount Olive; seven sisters, Opal Rhodes of Sharon, Lou Ollie Knight of Gitano, Oleda Butler of Hebron, Eddie Mae Morgan of Moselle, Jean Denley of Bruce, Velma Doris Nichols of Mount Olive and Loretta Grice of Seminary; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jones Funeral Home in El-lisville is in charge of arrangements.
