George Victor Whalen Sr., of 132 Schlobohm House, died yesterday in Yonkers Professional Hospital after a short illness. He was seventy-five. Mr. Whalen was born here Nov. 19, 1885, the son of Yonkers natives. He married the former Anna Malloy 55 years ago in St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church on Locust Hill Ave. She died last November. He retired 15 years ago from his job as a restaurant clerk which he had worked at for 10 years. Before that, he was employed by the Third Avenue Railway Co. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Albert W. (Eleanor) Farley of California and Mrs. Florence Demarchis of Yonkers; and four sons, all of Yonkers, Arthur, George Jr., Lester and Donald. There are also 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
