Cecil Wayne Jordan, 77, of Olympia, Washington, died on June 9, 2007. Born on September 13, 1929 in Bickleton, Washington, to Marvin and Treva (Bandy) Jordan, he served in the United States Army Signal Corps during the Korean War and received the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the Army Occupation of Japan Medal, and the Unit Merit Commendation.
Mr. Jordan's interests included music, dancing, bowling, and reading. He held memberships in the V.F.W., Eagles, the Elks and Moose Lodges, and the American Legion.
Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Marvin and Robert Jordan; and four sisters: Irene (Jordan) Scott, Uldene (Jordan) Wilcox, Lillian (Jordan) Sherry, and Leona (Jordan) Green.
Mr. Jordan was survived by his son, John Jordan, of Tumwater; his daughter, Lori (Jordan) Gibbs, of Lebanon, Tennessee; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at the Masonic Center at 521 North Street North East in Tumwater, Washington. Memorial donations, regarding Alzheimer's disease, may be made in Cecil's name to the Community Foundation at 111 Market Street North East, Suite 375, Olympia, Washington, 98501. Funeral Alternatives of Washington, Incorporated in Turnwater ministered.
