Mrs. Pearl Gilmore, a waitress employed at theBallard-Johnson restaurant, 517 East Adams street, died early this morning at St. John's Hospital where she had been taken after having taken poison in her room at 126 1/2 North Sixth street. (Illinois State Register, Springfield, IL, March 10, 1924)

Gilmore, Mrs. Pearl – Died at St. John's hospital early Monday, March 10, 1924, as the result of taking a drug in her room at 126 ½ North Sixth street. Remains taken to Bisch & Son's mortuary, and were removed last night overland to Decatur, where funeral services will be held and interment made.
Survived by her mother and three sisters and two brothers all of Decatur. (Illinois State Journal, Springfield, IL, March 11, 1924)
