WEST BOYLSTON -- Constance P. (Waskevich) Berger, 85, of 400 Lancaster St., a retired nurse, died Thursday, Sept. 7, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus.
Her husband, Gerald N. Berger, died in 1963. She leaves a son, Carl W. Berger of Dudley; two daughters, Geraldine C. Guido of West Boylston, with whom she lived, and Jacquelyn C. Fogarty of Worcester; eight granddaughters; and three great grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Beatrice Waskevich.

Her brother Albin D. Waskevich died in 1975. Her sisters, Natalie S.(Waskevich)Tarkiainen of Worcester and Angela M. Waskevich(Statias) Stashis of California, also predeceased her.

Aunt Polly raised three wonderful children on her own and did a fabulous job.

I am her niece, Susan (Waskevich) Anderson. We had some wonderful times together when I was very young. I remember them going to our house for the Fourth of July for a big picnic. At the end of the day, more often than not, I would go back to their house to spend a week or so. My cousin Jackie and I used to sleep in the barn loft. I loved it! I also remember playing King of the Mountain with her and their dog. I ALWAYS cried when we were halfway down the street from my house, but got over it quickly. I lost touch with her as well as the rest of her family through the years, but I do miss her and will rejoice when we are reunited in heaven.

God bless you Aunt Polly, as you watch over your loving family who miss you with all their hearts.

Love,
Susan (Loretta & Al's daughter)
