James A. Moshier of Owego
James A. Moshier, 79, of Owego passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 23, 2002, at home after a period of declining health.

Mr. Moshier was predeceased by his father, George R. Moshier, brother, Leon Pert Moshier. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 56 years, Vivian Lull Moshier; his mother, Allie Rae Moshier; children, David Moshier, Barbara Moshier, Betsy Kosick; grandchildren, Sarah and Andrew Moshier, Katie and Alex Kosick; sisters, Virginia Millage, Dorothy Schooley, Charlotte Cornwell, Patricia Stamp; brother, Carlton Moshier; several nieces, nephews, cousins, daughter-in-law, Diane Moshier; son-in-law, Tony Kosick and special family friend, Bobbie Siegel.

Mr. Moshier was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired as general manager for Endicott Johnson Shoe Corp. in Owego after 40 years of service. He was a member of the VFW Post #1371, American Legion Post #401 and life member of Croton Hose #3. Jim will be remembered as devoted family man, an avid gardener and his love of tinkering.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey Munroe Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego with the Rev. Dr. William P. Findley, officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Moshier family would like to thank Hospice at Lourdes for all their care and support.
