Louisa was the daughter of Daniel, Jr and Sally (Benjamin) Childs. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel and Molly Child, and her maternal grandparents were William and Beulah (Child) Benjamin - all of Massachusetts.
Louisa married Mr. Rosewell Shepherd with whom she had one daughter, Louisa Shepherd born December 18, 1832. Her daughter grew to maturity and married Eli T Ross, son of Samuel and Thankful Ross. Louisa and Eli had one daughter, Maud Ross born abt 1858. Louisa (Shepherd) Ross, like her mother, did not live to experience old age, she having passed away on March 17, 1875 at the age of 42. Eli Ross passed away January 11, 1868.
Subsequent to his wife's death, Rosewell Shepherd married Anna Maria (Leek) Dow.
