Florinda Farrell from Mary, Dec 20, 1864, Oregon MO " I was with deare
Mrs. Cooper when she died, I went up to see her and she would not give
up for she said she knew i could wait on the sick better then anybody
she ever saw. She was very anxious to see her relatives before she died,
she did not think she would get well from the time she was taken sick,
she did not say one word about what she wanted the children to do, poor
things what will they do, neither Father nor Mother to advice them. I
staid week with them after their Mothers death, brother is staying with
them now and has been ever since they have been sick. We buried Aunt
Bettie in black, she looked so sweet, and any be like all in mourning
for that her sister she was soon to meet in that world where mourning is
worn no more..............................Bob Cooper was here three days
go he said she was some better (re Puss Tolbut)..(speaking about
Elizabeth Farrell Cooper, their sister upon dying and leaving her
