Johannes Abrahamse Vaneps (also known as John Abraham), son of Abraham Johannes and Debora Viele Vaneps, was baptized September 1, 1776 at Schenectady, Albany County, New York. Johannes and Eva Van Patten were married in 1798 at Schenectady, Albany County, New York and their children were: Abraham Loren, Eleanor (Nelly), John, Carel Hansen and Jacob Swits. His second wife was Debora Houseman. They married about 1810 in Schenectady, Albany County, NY and their children were: Hiran, William Henry, Amos and Agnes. Another child is un-named. Johannes served in the War of 1812 and moved to Genessee County, NY in 1813. He died in 1816 in Genessee County. His will was written July 23, 1815 and shows that he was of Bethany. His gravesite is unknown, but probably around Bethany in Genessee County.
