Harry W. Burger

Harry W. Burger, 93, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at Holly Place, 268 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown.

Born April 25, 1911, he was the son of the late Clarence and Bertha Rines Burger.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel May Shatzer Burger.

He retired from Maryland Metals, where he worked for 30 years.

He was a Protestant.

He is survived by two sisters,
Dorothy Burkett of State Line, Pa., and
Ruth Barnhart of Greencastle, Pa., and
one brother, Raymond Burger of State Line.

He was preceded in death by
four sisters,
Margaret Beard,
Fannie Poffenberger,
Iretta Moates and
Irean Spangler, and
five brothers,
Pheris Burger,
Joseph Burger,
Lewis Burger,
Loyd Burger and
Elmer Burger.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. The Rev. Bill Spangler will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Visitation will be today from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holly Place, 268 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
