Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Montrose Christian Church with the Revs. Ronnie Hanna and Lloyd McMillan officiating. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery in Montrose.
Mrs. Painter, 76, died of natural causes Thursday at her home in Montrose.
She had been a homemaker.
She was born April 12, 1918, to Oscar and Ida Bernklau Demmer in Rifle.
She spent her childhood in Nucla, where she graduated from high school in 1935.
Her first husband Carl Woodrow Wooten, is deceased.
She married E. G. Painter on May 22, 1972, in Las Vegas, Nev. He died Oct 17, 1989, in Montrose.
Mrs. Painter was a member of Montrose Christian Church, the Women's Club of Montrose, a bowling association and the Montrose Hospital Volunteers.
She enjoyed fishing, traveling, socializing with her family and friends, and her membership in the Women's Club.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Wooten of Topsham, Maine, and Clifford Wooten of Tamunning, Guam; a daughter, Connie Allen of Warren, Mich.; a brother, Willard Demmer of Montrose; a sister, Wilma Wittern of Nucla; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
