Arthur James Moore, 86, Wabash Skilled CareCenter, died at 10:05 AM at the center.

He was born on October 4, 1905, in Lagro, to James E. and Ankah (Beaver) Moore. He married Edith E. Story on November 6, 1926. She died on February 26, 1989.

Mr. Moore graduated from Lagro High School in 1923. He was an insurance agent for the Western and Southern Insurance Company, Wabash, for 30 years. He was affiliated with the Wabash Christian Church of Mesa, Arizona. He also was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Wabash and Mesa.

Surviving are one son, John L. Moore, Lilburn, GA; two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Peggy J.) Thomas, Wabash, and Mrs. Marcella M. Weaver, Louisville, KY; two sisters, Nellie Elmore, Muncie, and Madge Applegate, Spiceland; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 2 PM Saturday at the Wabash Christian Church with Rev. Ron Zorn officiating.

Preferred memorials are to the Wabash County Hospital oncology program.
