Son of James H & Mary Casey Karr. Charles was a twin as documented in the Karr family bible. His twin sister Frances Nola Karr. Besides Fannie as she was nicknamed, there were 8 other siblings and 3 half-siblings. On Jan 1, 1891 he married Rachel Pernina Howard and had 4 children - one daughter was a twin to Althur Ray and died in infancy. Her name is not documented in the family bible. Rachel died in 1915 and in 1918 Charley as he was always called; married Sarah Estella Ellis. Charley was a loving father, husband and well liked among many in Dallas County.

DEATH: Charley Karr, son of James H. and Mary Karr, was born Sept. 26, 1870 and passed away Sep. 3, 1942 at 6 p.m. in the home of the daughter at Preston, MO, after a short illness of heart trouble. He had reached the age of 71 years, 11 months, and 3 days.
He professed faith in Christ in early years and united wth the New Hope Baptist Church of which he remained a faithful member until death called him away.
He was married to Rachel Howard February 1890 who preceded him in death on January 31, 1915. To this union was born four children Ray, Long Lane,Claude of Randall Illinois, and Grace of Preston, MO. He leaves 14 grandchildren. One daughter and one grand daughter preceded him in death.
He is the last one of the family of 7 children.

So good bye Dad and Grand-dad, you are gone but not forgotten. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. C. Pinkley at New Hope at 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Burial was under direction of L. B. Jones in the New Hope Cemetery.
