Mr. Dayton Johnson, age 55, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Health South Hospital in Florence, SC. Born October 14, 1951 in Loris, SC; Mr. Johnson was the widower of the late Martha Lynn Boone Johnson and the son of the late Patrick Johnson and the late Lanie Taylor Johnson. Mr. Johnson worked as a painter and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his two sons: Billy Johnson, and wife, Tammy, of Conway, SC, and Jeff Johnson of Longs, SC; two sisters: Patty Jolly and husband Larry, of Loris, SC, and Brenda Ray and husband Doug, of Summerville, SC; and four grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was predeceased by one son: Johnny Johnson, one brother: David Johnson; one sister: Juannette Rogers.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the Hardwick Memorial Chapel with burial following at Antioch Cemetery. Pastor Jamie Montgomery officiated services. Visitation was held on Sunday, March 25, 2007 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at Hardwick Memorial Chapel. Directed by Hardwick Funeral Home of Loris, SC.
