Obituary
Frieda Schwindt, 87, of Greeley, Colorado died Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at Sterling House.
A funeral service will be at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, November 9, 2002 at Allnutt Funeral Service/Macy Chapel. Visitation 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, November 8, 2002 at Allnutt Funeral Service/Macy Chapel.
Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley, Colorado.
Freida was born June 20, 1915 in Alliance, Nebraska to Jacob and Katherine (Schwindt) Schreiner. She attended school in Alliance, Nebraska. She married Henry Schwindt on July 28, 1940 in Fort Collins. They farmed in the Fort Collins area, in Keenesburg from 1979-1984, and had lived in Greeley since 1984.
She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, spending time with her family, driving in the mountains, music, gardening and canning, especially crock pickles. She was a wonderful cook.
Freida is survived by her husband, Henry Schwindt, Jr. of Greeley, CO; sons, Harold E. Schwindt of Fort Collins, CO and Alex H. Schwindt of Wheatland, WY; daughters, Karen K. Zavodny of Loveland, CO, Barbara E. Smith of Severance, CO, and Marlene P. Bell of Keenesburg, CO; brothers, John Schreiner and Phillip Schreiner of Torrington, WY; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Her parents, 1 sister, 3 brothers, and 1 grandchild preceded her.
Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Research in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 702 13th Street, Greeley, CO 80631.
