Syble Drue Wildt, 88, of Etowah, died early Friday morning, July 4, 2008, at her residence.

A native of Sebree, Kentucky and resident of Etowah for the past 20 years, she was a daughter of the late Willis Earl and Bessie Orene Parker.

She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by a son, Thomas W. Wildt; 2 grandchildren, Missy Fireline and Laura Fireline; one great-grandson, Caleb D. Tabor; and a brother and sister-in-law, Gascon and Jerry Parker.

Survivors include her husband, Walter F. Wildt of Etowah; four daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Mike Tabor of Athens, Nancy Gabriel of Athens, Charlene and Robert Walker of Chicago, Ill., and Elizabeth and Henry Medeiros, Jr. of Honolulu, Hawaii; six grandchildren and spouses, Anthony and Penny Tabor, David and Mary Tabor, Alicia Tabor, James and Patricia Tabor, Michael Curry and Tamara Fireline; several great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Mead and Bettie Parker of Evansville, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2008, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Kingrea officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 6th.
