Genevieve I. Haldorson, age 81 of Morris, passed away Thursday January 31, 2013 at Walnut Grove in Morris.

Born July 5, 1931 in Morris, Genevieve was a daughter of the late Theodore and Jeanette Enerson-Milton. She was raised and educated in Morris and on January 6, 1951, Genevieve married Robert Haldorson in Signal Hill, California. She worked for over 25 years in the Housekeeping Department at Morris Hospital until her retirement, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris. Genevieve had a love for bingo, and will be especially remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished spending time with her immediate and extended family.

Genevieve was survived by her loving husband of 58 years Robert, whom passed away Monday February 4, 2013; her daughter Brenda (Daniel) Miner of Purcellville, Virginia; three grandchildren: Ryan (Molly) Rozich of Austin, Texas, Logan Miner of Vienna, West Virginia and Natalie Miner of Purcellville; one great granddaughter Sloane Elizabeth Rozich and brothers and sisters-in-law: Ralph (Lela) Haldorson, Helen Jensen, Lucille Quayle, Alice Wills, Betty Panish, June (Leroy) Hedgecock, Phyllis Haldorson, Betty Haldorson, and Margaret Haldorson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Dr. Robert Haldorson; two brothers: Theodore and Glen and two sisters: Betty and Berniece.

Visitation and Video Tribute for Genevieve and Robert will be held on Tuesday February 5, 2013 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral services will follow Wednesday February 6th at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 516 East Jackson Street, Morris, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Ed Howe, CR officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Morris.
