Henry Werner, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Werner, was born August 15, 1881, in Yankton County, South Dakota. He married Bertha Wessel. She died in 1921. They had three sons, Herbert, Earl and August, all surviving.
Also surviving is one brother, William; four sisters, Mrs. Fred Deibert, Mrs. Fred Seiler, Mrs. John Wessel, and Mrs. Henry Suess.
Services were from St. Paul's Lutheran church in Mound City on October 25, interment followed in the Gale cemetery.
