I am fairly cetain that George Offutt was born Mar 16, 1799 in Washington County, PA to John and Barbara (Green) Offutt. He married Margaret Wimer April 8, 1830 in Pennsylvania. I believe that the Margaret Offutt you also list in this cemetery with the 1871 date of his death is George's wife, the former Margaret Wimer. However although I am fairly confident I am not 100% certain, and so far have been unable to locate any supporting documentation. Additionally I had at one time located a source that said both George and his wife Margaret were buried in the Leesburg Presbyterian Cemetery, but I see online at the Lawrence County Memoirs site that they are one in the same.
