He made his big screen debut in "Behind the Green Lights" (1935), followed by credits to include "The Story of Alexander Graham Bell" (1939), "The Big Street" (1942), "Alaska" (1944), "Notorious" (1946), "Return of the Bad Men" (1948) and "Square Dance Katy" (1950), his last film.
