Valta Fain, 80, Southside Drive, Campbellsville, formerly of Lebanon Junction, daughter of the late Allen Bland and Lou Purdy Bland, was born in Taylor County Aug. 25, 1905. She died at 6 p.m., Friday, April 25, 1986, at the Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville after an illness. She was a member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Ernest M. Fain Oct. 20, 1927. He preceded her in death Feb. 15, 1981. To this union one son was born: Bernard Fain, Campbellsville. Besides her son, she is survived by one granddaughter and one grandson: Lori Ann Fain, Campbellsville, and Robert Bradley Fain, Slidell, La.; one brother, Hurshel Bland, Elkhorn; several other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Doug Fain, on Jan. 29, 1979. Funeral services were at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 27, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by the Rev. Doug Moseley and the Rev. Joe Humble. Burial was in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
