Virginia Reyes was born in Globe, Ariz. on Feb. 26, 1927. She was the daughter of Arnulfo and Loretta Robles. She was one of five daughters and was a hard worker. She was a cook at Busy Boy Restaurant for 10 years and a laborer at the truck shop at Pinto Valley for 21 years. Her last job was at Heritage Healthcare Center in housekeeping. She just couldn't give up working. Her favorite job was working at Pinto Valley, where she was known as "Ginger," and she loved cooking for her co-workers.

Virgie loved spending time with her grandchildren, listening to Mexican music, and watching her Spanish soap operas on TV.

She was preceded in death by her children, Loretta Tarango and Raymond Tarango; her sisters, Carmen Saenz, Tonie Armendarez, and Maggie Williams; and her son in-law, LeRoy Poleman.

Virginia is survived by her children, Joe Lira (Seaneen), Connie Anaya (Jess), Gloria Gutierrez, Betty Dominguez (Al), Toni Reyes, Georgia Poleman, and Roy Reyes, Sr. (Herietta); her sisters, Connie Armendarez and Annie Garcia; 44 grandchildren, 112 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and will be missed deeply. Everyone who knew Mom was called "Chencha" or "Chencho."

Funeral Services for Mrs. Reyes were held on Jan. 26, 2013 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe
