Mrs. Mary Josephine Milligan died at the home of her nephew, Ernest Fullenwider, in Indianapolis, where she had recently gone to make her home. The body was brought here on Wednesday and funeral services at the Presbyterian church were conducted by Rev. Frederick Cromer. Mr. Walker played a program of familiar hymn tunes. Mary Josephine Hanna, daughter of William and Mary Watson Hanna, was born Oct 8, 1848 and died Monday, Oct 9, aged 91 years and 7 days. She was educated at Waveland Academy and was a lifelong member of the Waveland Presbyterian Church. She was married to John W. Milligan in 1866 and to them were born three children: Elizabeth, William and Claudia. All three of her children preceded her in death as did her husband and grandson, Harold Burford. She spent all but a few years of her life in Waveland and vicinity. For a few years the family lived in Kansas. For the last four months she has made her home with her nephew, Ernest Fullenwider and family, whose loving care contributed to her comfort and happiness. She was the last of her father's family of fourteen children. Seven nieces and nine nephews survive her, and to them and all who knew her she was an inspiration, for in spite of many vicissitudes this life brought her she was ever cheerful, patient and brave.
