Bertha Vinger, age 97, of Appleton, WI, formerly of Argyle, WI, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Heartwood Homes Senior Living in Appleton. She was born May 11, 1916, at Puddledock Cheese Factory in Green County, WI, the daughter of Carl and Barbara (Tschudy) Wenger, Sr. Following her graduation from Monroe High School in 1934 and Madison Business College in 1935, Bertha worked as a dental assistant in Argyle. She married Lawrence Vinger on February 20, 1937 at Adams Lutheran Church and lived in Argyle throughout their 72 years together. Bertha has been a resident in an assisted living home in Appleton, WI since June 2010. She served as 4-H club leader. The Vingers were active members of Argyle Lutheran Church and Bertha its Ladies Aid.

-Daughters: Barbara (William) Bowen, Lorraine (Robert) Jeffus, Debra (John) Carew and Denise (John “Ted”) Parrish
-Son: David Vinger
-Ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren

Funeral service held Saturday, October 19, 2013.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, rural Argyle.
