Anna Pilsner died peacefully on August 7, 2006 at Nyack Manor Nursing Home.
Born on February 11, 1912 in Gurahumora (Bori) Romania the daughter of Franz and Marie Schafaczek. Anna emigrated to the United States in 1950 and made her home in Manhattan until recently.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter Erwine Haering and her husband Herbert of Stony Point, grandson Paul Haering and his wife Lisa of Pleasant Valley and her great-grandchildren: Matthew and Michelle. Also surviving is her sister Maria Hubner of Austria and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Karl and her son Henry, her sisters Josefa and Emily and brothers, Adolf, Raymond and Stefan.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2006 from 5 to 7 PM at the Edward C. Finn Funeral Home in Stony Point. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 14, 2006 at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Stony Point. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
