Emma C. Hart of High Hill died January 17, 1988 at the Jonesburg Caring Center. She was 93.

Mrs. Hart was born on December 21, 1894, near Big Spring, Missouri, the daughter of Dietrick William and Wilhelmine Christine Lampe Finke. She was united in marriage with Theodore M. Hart, March 3, 1915. Mr. and Mrs. Hart started farming in the Bear Creek vicinity of Warren County, and after fifteen years moved to a farm near High Hill. Mr. Hart died October 26, 1950. Mrs. Hart later moved to High Hill to live with her son.

She was preceded in death by her twin son, Emil, who died at birth; one son, Emmit, on April 5, 1978; her daughter-in-law, Nancy in March, 1975; one brother, John Finke; three sisters, Mary Henskan, Elizabeth Cameron, and Lena Graue; nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hart was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, High Hill and American Legion Auxiliary #198 of Jonesburg.

Mrs. Hart is survived by one sister, Ida Niedergerke of the New Florence Nursing Home; two sisters-in-law, Ada Clark, Bellflower, and Flora Fitzwater, McKittrick.

Services were held January 19 at the Harding Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Bizer officiating. Pallbearers were Sam Dayball, Marvin and Leslie Garrett, Floyd Weeks, Rodney Carroz, and Les Greenwell.

Interment was in the Jonesburg City Cemetery.
