Mrs. Wilhelmine Christine Finke, nee Lampe, was born January 20, 1855, at Seilhorst, Amt Rahden, Kreis Lebeka, Westphalia, Germany, and died January 15, 1934, at her home in the Big Spring vicinity, at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 26 days.
She was married to D.W Finke August 11, 1883, at Menden, Mercer County, Ohio. To this union eight children were born, two of whom died in infancy. Those living are Mrs. Mary Henskan at home, John Finke of New Florence, Mrs. Lizzie Cameron of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Ida Niedergerke of St. Louis, Mrs. Emma Hart of High Hill, Mrs. Lena Graue of Jonesburg. She also leaves 14 grandchildren.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. R.H. Kasmann of Hermann and interment took place in the Evangelical cemetery at Big Spring.
