William "Bill" Bates, 68, of Clinton, Oklahoma, died Saturday January 26, 2013 in Clinton. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a m Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery North of Laverne. Services are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home of Woodward.
William Vale Bates was born August 8, 1944 in Rosston, Oklahoma; the son of Wayne and Leona (Jennings) Bates. Bill attended school in Buffalo, Oklahoma and then later in Guymon. He spent many years working as a X-Ray Technician at numerous hospitals.
Survivors include one son Kenneth Bates and wife Laurie of Woodward; one daughter Terri Leeper and husband Jay of Alva; two sisters Waynetta Jordan and husband Lynn of Follett,Texas, Debbie Robison and husband James of Buffalo; three grandchildren Kristopher Bates, Ashley"Bates" Glitsch and Kaden Bates; five great-grandchildren Braxtyn, Kane, Kinzley, Kate, Kayla.
