He was the son of Hougas and Zarouhee Torosian. While they were residents of Milwaukee, Zarouhee returned to Philadelphia where she had lived previously, and where her parents resided, to give birth to her son Harry, assisted by her mother. At about 18 years of age Harry was killed in a train accident. He was survived by his parents, sister Margaret, and half-sister Araxie.
