Metter - Isadore Swint, 78, died Wednesday at Candler County Hospital after a long illness. The Washington County native lived in Candler County the past 23 years. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gracie Swint of Metter; four daughters, Mrs. Rosetta Gardner and Mrs. Christine Monley, both of Metter, Miss Daisy Swint of White Plains, N.Y., and Mrs. Betty Mercer of Doraville; three sons, Charlie Swint of Cincinnati; Alvin I. Swint of Hanford, Calif., and Isadore Swint Jr. of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. Alberta Kidd of Cincinnati and Mrs. Ollie Holland of Statesboro; three brothers, Johnny and Van Munlin, both of Cincinnati, and Willie Munlin of Brooklet; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church, burial in Mount Pisgah (Fish Trap) Cemetery, near Portal. Whitaker Funeral Home.
