Metter - Mrs. Gracie Swint, 76, died Saturday at Candler County Hospital after a long illness. The Bulloch County native lived in Candler County for 25 years. She was a member of Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church where she was mother of the church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Rosetta Gardener of Metter, Miss Christine Monley of Norcross, Miss Daise Swint of White Plains, N.Y., and Mrs. Bettye Mercer of Doraville; three sons, Isadore Swint Jr. of Metter, Alvin I. Swint of Hanford, Calif., and Charles Swint of Cincinnati; a brother, Bloyce Donaldson of Metter; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday at Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church, burial in Mount Pisgah Cemetery near Statesboro. Whitaker Funeral Home.
