SPINAL MENINGITIS. Causes Death of Mrs. John Hanafee Yesterday. Mrs. Amelia Hanafee, wife of John Hanafee, died yesterday morning at 11:30 at St. Edward's hospital after a short illness of spinal meningitis. She was taken to the hospital last Friday when it was apparent that her condition was becoming serious and she steadily sank until death relieved her of her sufferings. She was forty-one years old and besides her husband is survived by five sons, William, Clarence, Leo, Eugene and John T. Hanafee. She was a daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Broeker and leaves four sisters and four brothers. They are Henry, John and Frank Broeker, Mrs. Frank Belviy, Mrs. William Hanafee, Mrs. Tobias Hoffer and Miss Kate Broeker, of this city, and William Broeker, of Corydon. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic church from which place the funeral services will be held next Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. - New Albany Evening Tribune 07 Jun 1909
