Clara Barksdale Rackley, 80, of Tuscumbia, passed away Jan. 23, 2013.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, from 1-3, at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. in the chapel, with a private graveside at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating is Brother Greg Beasley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mirtie Barksdale; brothers, J.D. and Jimmy Barksdale.
Survivors include her husband of 61 wonderful years, Clarence Ernest Rackley; sons, Mike Rackley (Susan) and Joe Rackley (Susan); daughter, Lena Mardis (Jerry); grandchildren, Todd Rackley (Stacy), Pamela Everett, Christie Roth (Grant), Amanda Dalrymple (Chris), Wesley Rackley (Lacy) and Wade Rackley; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Lona and Hayden Dalrymple, Graham Everett and Brynne Mulligan Rackley; brothers, Larry Barksdale (Vickie) and Ralph Barksdale (Linda); sister, Mary Hyde and sister-in-law, Leslie Barksdale; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rackley retired from Dollar General Stores after 22 years of loyal service, where she was manager of Tuscumbia, Florence and Sheffield store locations.
