The departed leaves to mourn his loss eight children; Laura M. Pfister, Thomas E., Vernon F., Hazel F. Foster, Don D., George K., Maxwell and Claire H. One daughter, Lulu died in infancy at Washington, Kansas. Two sisters also survive; Mrs. Ellen Little of Greenleaf, Kansas and Mrs. Maggie Kern of Gresham, Oregon.
His last illness, which was of about a month's duration, was of a dropsical nature, the immediate cause of his death being heart disease. He passed away a few minutes after six o’clock Monday morning without premonition of the end.
The funeral services were held from the residence, Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, March 2, conducted by Rev. R. E. Fleming of the First Presbyterian church.
