Lin Kaltefleiter Gregory, 52 of West Point the daughter of Carl and Norma Kaltefleiter passed from this life at 7:00 a.m. Sunday January 20, 2013 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa. She was born in Fort Madison on June 18, 1960 and lived in West Point, Iowa all her life.

She attended St. Mary's parochial school and Marquette High School. She was a very good athlete both in softball and basketball. She holds the record for Marquette 6 on 6 girl's basketball, having scored 49 points in one game.

She married Larry Gregory on January 12, 1980 who preceded her in death on September 17, 2010. She is survived by one son Jesse (Amanda) Gregory of West Point and one daughter Dana (Dale) Iwanicki of Queensland, Australia; One stepson Mike (Janet) Gregory of Leander, Texas; one stepdaughter Connie (Chris) Burkhammer of Indianola, Iowa; six step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother Norma Kaltefleiter, two brothers Jeff (Diane) Kaltefleiter of West Point and Steve Kaltefleiter of West Point, one sister Kelly Cullen of Fort Madison and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband, paternal and maternal grandparents.

Lin was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and St. Louis Cardinal fan. She loved country music, animals and the outdoors. She was devoted to her parents, husband, children, sister and brothers.

Lin was employed by Dennis and Kate Menke with whom she became very good friends. There will be a private family viewing after which cremation will be accorded per her wishes.

Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in West Point where the family will meet with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Schimitz-Lynk Funeral Home officiated by Rev. John Simpson.

Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in West Point.

A memorial has been established in her memory for Great River Hospice House.
