Levi (Ljubomir) Vracarich, 94, of Lebanon and Newport, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013. Born on March 24, 1918, Levi was the son of the late Thomas (Toma) and Zorka Sladich Vracarich, who immigrated to Lebanon from Yugoslavia.
He was married to Geraldine Frances Kline Vracarich of Lebanon for 69 years, until her death in 2010.
Levi graduated from Lebanon High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a management retiree of the Lebanon Steel Foundry and a member and past president of the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church in Lebanon. He also was a 33 degree Mason of the AA Scottish Rite, Harrisburg and a member of the Mt. Olivet Lodge No. 707 of Lebanon.
He enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing, hunting and following his favorite sports teams, the Phillies and the Eagles.
In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by: his grandson, Toma Jacob Vracarich; brothers: George, Sam, and Lazar; and sister: Lillian V. Dolla.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Vracarich and wife Carol of Newport, granddaughter Lara Vracarich of Phoenixville, sister: Amelia Vrbaski of Lebanon and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 10 AM in the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Church, 120 E. Weidman St., Lebanon (17046).
Interment will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to his church. The Rohland Funeral Home, Lebanon is handling the arrangements. www.rohlandfh.com www.pennlive.com/obits
