PRESTON - Loretta Camp, 96, of Preston, died Monday at Wyndcrest Nursing Home in Clinton.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Preston. The Rev. Gregory Geier will be officiating. Burial will be in the Elvira Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home in Preston.

She was born Nov. 20, 1908, in Walcott to Adolph and Agnes Gulck Dietz. She married Harry Camp on Feb. 27, 1932, in Davenport. He died in 1987.

She began her nursing career in 1929 at St. Luke Hospital in Davenport. In 1955, she began working for Drs. Broman and Brown in Maquoketa until her retirement in 1972. She also helped her husband on the farm for more than 40 years.

She was a 4-H leader. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Victor (Joyce) Camp of Elvira and Gene (Marcia) Camp of Preston; four daughters, Mrs. Shirley (Harold) Losby of Iowa City, Mrs. Donna (John) Heckmann of Miles, Bernice Michaels of Addison, Ill., and Mrs. Pat (Basil) Dale of Las Vegas; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in her name to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one brother, one son-in-law and one grandson.
