"Northport, L.I., December 8 - Alice M. the wife of Dr. J.P. Heyen, died at her home in this place yesterday morning after an illness of several months. Her death was caused by spinal sclerosis. Mrs. Heyen was 57 years old and was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Alanson Post of Brooklyn, both now deceased. Her mother was Martha Van Sise, formally of Farmingdale, where Mrs. Heyen was born. She had, however, spent most of her life in Brooklyn. She had been a resident of Northport for several years and was a member and active worker of St. Paul's M.E. Church of this place. Besides her husband, Mrs. Heyen is survived by three children, Mrs. Robert L. Simpson of Huntington, Louise S. and J. Howard Heyen of Northport. She is also survived by a brother, Wilson E. Post of Philadelphia, and three sisters, Mrs. R.S. Mott and Mrs. Louise Thomas of Huntington and Miss Elizabeth Post of Northport. Funeral services will be held from her residence on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. The Rev. H.V. Ross, officiating and interment will be at the family plot at Bethpage Cemetery, Farmingdale".
