J. Willard Davis, 77, of Clovis, fleet manager, died Aug. 29, 2001, in Mesa, Ariz.
He was born on Nov. 21, 1023 in Clovis to Gardner Macray "Mack" Davis and Sally Vera Osborn Davis.
He was in the first graduating class of Ranchvale School. He was employed by El Rancho Milling Co. and Worley Mills, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Kingswood Methodist Church. He served in local, district and state offices of the Jaycees and New Mexico Square Dance organizations.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Stella W. Davis of Chandler, Ariz.; one son, Arlan L. Davis of Chandler, Ariz.; one daughter Caryn N. Lansford of Chandler, Ariz.; one sister, Lucille Edge of Seattle, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
memorial services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Botimer Funeral Home of Phoenix.
