Caroline E. McCrone, 79, of 502 Linn St. died Tuesday in Polyclinic Medical Center.
She retired from the state Education Department as an executive secretary and was a member of the United Church of God, Lower Paxton Twp., and the Shippensburg Historical Society.
She was the widow of Donald D. McCrone Sr. Surviving are two daughters, Elcinda L. Bergethon of Sherborn, Mass., and Patricia A. Bruno of Susquehanna Twp.; a son, Robert A. of Eugene, Ore.; a sister, Beulah Funk of Shippensburg; and five grandchildren.
